Who am I?
I took this photo in my local pub - a little selfie. Lest you think so, I don't really drink alcohol. I tried being a vegetarian and a vegan, but after 5 months, my body (and brain's) need for meat made me fold.
I'm a Qualified Mindfulness Instructor through UMass Medical School's Center for Mindfulness, which has moved to Brown University. Not all of my meditations are Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Meditations, but I will be sure to let you know when they are. I have been practicing Mindfulness daily for over a year now, 30 minutes during weekdays and 45 minutes to an hour on weekends (when I have the time - which is often). I've started an evening 30 minute practice as well. I have also attended two 7 day silent retreats in the past and am looking forward to my next. I started labyrinth "walking" in the early 2000s but didn't appreciate the importance of it until recently. I hope they bring clarity and peace. As much as walking a real labyrinth does for me - something I have proven I can do for hours on silent retreats I have taken. |
